i sat alone at a bar last night, waiting for some food, and to my left sat a couple on a date. i could tell by the conversation that they had recently met and were still trying to get to know one another. the girl talked and talked and the guy sat patiently listening to everything she had to say.

she talked about her job, dog, hometown, etc. all the usual things. when she gets to the part about her parents, things became interesting. judging by her story, she has a father that will kill anyone that touches her, even though she just turned 32. he is very protective. after explaining how sweet her father is and that, "he really means well." she says, "i can't wait for you to meet him!" before she stopped talking about her parents, the guys grabs the bartender and orders a shot of whiskey.
