Rolller Derby for Dudes

so! last saturday was awesome! my buddy nathan came back to town for a quick visit. to celebrate we held the first ever roller race at springwater. how this came together so well, i don't know, but it did. and it was good. 25 riders participated and one kid, ben won. we don't know who he is but we respect him none the less. the atmosphere was great. we had an actual dj, DJ coach, keith and myself MC'd and everyone else drank and enjoyed themselves. brian worked his ass off and made all of this possible. he is incredible. also, candice, who i just met worked on getting this together. random other people helped out as well and made this something we want to again and again. we all owe them drinks. after the races and vomiting(from racing too hard) we rolled off into the night. half went home and slept and half kept partying. i didn't come home until after 3am and nathan and myself finished off a bottle of scotch before calling it a night. all in all, it was a great day. i love this city and i love that we can do this. cheers to more!
